Log Cabin We design and produce custom designed log cabins both from massive and laminated timber. Massive logs are from pine, laminated logs are available in pine and/or spruce. Nordic pine is well known as strong and requested construction material for timber houses all over the world.

Although log cabins are mainly built from logs it is possible to insulate the house from inside or outside. For a very warm house we suggest to insulate the house from outside by using wool and log panel. Unfortunately this method causes disappearance of log house trait of character - log corners outside. This is compensated by warm external walls and log panel which is identical to log wall itself. If You are interested in ecological and warm log house, contact us and we will help You find the best solution.

Log Cabin Another option for warm house is double-wall log cabin. By using double walls the house will become very warm and strong by construction.

All our massive logs are kiln dried to humidity of 20% (±2%), laminated logs are dried to humidity of 16% (±2%). This ensures the stability and durability of log wall construction is the highest and enables to move in right after the building period is over.

Log profiles

RPM is offering 2 different log profiles: ROUND and SQUARE (RECTANGULAR).

Our "round log" has very specific shape - it is not classic round but oval instead. This shape makes the wall construction much more warmer but the look of round log house remains.

Round log house is more common in countryside, in Scandinavia also in mountains, but in urban environment round log cabins are not so suitable. For those who prefer log cabin but want to build it among other houses in towns we are offering rectangular logs. From outside it looks just like any other wooden house - log profile is identical to log panel. Therefore it is also easy and reasonable to insulate rectangular log cabins - panel and log wall are identical so it is basically impossible to set apart log wall and insulated wall covered with log panel.
